I'm very excited to announce our first volunteer to travel to Pokhara, Nepal to start our Music Cultural Exchange Program is musician, composer and educator, Ashlee Clapp.
Ashlee has been supporting MGen since our board came together. She is an incredibly skilled and diverse musicians playing many instruments, composing, conducting, teaching and sharing music. We've chosen her to travel to Nepal due to her confidence and firm grasp on music and education.
She was also incredibly enthusiastic and excited approach to engaging with the local and traditional Nepalese music. She'll take part in immersing herself in Pokhara's cultural music scene through attending performances and asking music classes so we can bridge a gap between Australian and Nepalese cultures.
We, especially myself, wish Ash the best of luck in this 3 month pilot project and look forward to working with her further when she returns.
